2024-25

Goal 1

The percentage of students who pass advanced on Reading SOL will increase  

Grade 4 27% to 40% -40 students (add total enrolled here)  

Grade 5 29% to 42%- 51 students (add total enrolled here) 

Goal 2

Reduce the number of students who scored in the High-Risk band on VALLSS assessment by 75% by supporting student weaknesses in the areas of encoding and decoding, and oral reading fluency. 

Goal 3

Improve reading proficiency for students with disabilities and English Language Learners by implementing targeted, evidence-based reading interventions focusing on phonics, vocabulary development, and comprehension strategies. 

Goal 4

Grade-level PLCs will ensure consistent implementation of collaborative practices by following a structured agenda, engaging in data-driven discussions, and ensuring that action steps from each meeting are implemented in classrooms. 

Goal 5

Students at Mt. Vernon will increase their school connectedness from 54% to 60%  

English Learners will increase connectedness from 32% to 40%  

Students with Disabilities will increase from 36% to 40%
